BUMP: WEEK 17

A WEE LASSIE

I can hardly believe I'm this far along. I'm finally starting to feel a little better and get my appetite back and be able to stomach a lot more things. Kind of. I threw up yesterday. But apart from that and the mega short term memory loss, all is well.

The past two nights I have been wide awake with a huge migraine. One that has lasted 30+ hours and there's nothing I can do except tylenol, ice packs and cry to Nathan. Let me tell you, this was the headaches of all headaches. I couldn't get up, look at the light or focus on anything. It was THE WORST. The baby must've knew I was feeling crappy cause all she done was wriggle about in my tummy all day, then the whole time I was awake at night.

Anyway, here's a tip for you if you're thinking of moving to a different country to get married and bring up your children:
DON'T
lol, jk.
But you will have serious cravings for everything that you cannot have. Like a chippy, or nandos or a full breakfast. It's been a whole year since I had a nandos. I can't even find halloumi cheese!

I couldn't wait to have a full summer in warm Utah. But somehow I can't handle the heat anymore, when it's high 30's / 40's every day it's kind of hard to enjoy that stuff. So I'm actually excited for fall and winter this year. It's crazy to think in 5 months my mum and sisters will be here for the birth of our little girl and we get to show them around. Hopefully I will still be up and running... 5 months seems like forever away kind of, but it's really not that far. I'm so excited for what's to come.

How far along? 17 weeks.
How big is the baby? size of an avacado.
Total weight gain/loss? went from 108 to 111.
Maternity clothes? still none, although I miss wearing jeans.
Sleep? haven't been getting up to pee in the night, yipee! But docs orders were not to sleep on my back, so I've been sleeping with the body pillow recently.
Best moment this week? feeling her tiny little flutters in my tummy.
Symptoms? light headed and major forgetfulness.
Food cravings? still in n out, but my appetite is back, so anything that sounds good.
Food aversions? anything noodle like.
What I'm looking forward to? when nathan can feel her move about and not just me.
Bump? Well, you can definitely tell it's a pregnant belly and not just a well fed belly.
